Annual Benefits Enrollment Kicks Off on October 23rd
Emory’s annual benefits enrollment opens on Monday, October 23 and continues through Monday, November 6, 2017. Any changes you make will be effective on January 1, 2018.
During the enrollment period, you can select your medical plan and select or make changes to other benefits such as dental, vision, life insurance and more. The enrollment period is also the time to set aside funds for your Flexible Spending Account (FSA); you must make a new election to your FSA each year.
For 2018, Emory will continue to offer two medical plans: the HSA Plan and the POS Plan. Both plans use the same provider networks; however, there are key differences in how each plan works. Be sure to review your enrollment materials to decide which plan is best for you. If you do not select a medical plan, your current coverage will rollover.
Managing your own personal wellbeing is going to get even easier in 2018 with the arrival of Healthy Emory Connect. Emory’s new, personalized web platform and mobile app will be your “one-stop-shop” for participating in all of your wellness activities like earning your medical plan incentives, competing in challenges, and tracking your health goals. Emory employees can earn up to $400 in incentives by completing a variety of activities, mostly through Healthy Emory Connect.
Your benefits newsletter, which is full of information about this year’s enrollment, has been mailed to your home address. Be sure to take some time to look it over.
To learn more, attend an upcoming annual enrollment session. Benefits department staff will go over the details of the two medical plan choices, give an overview of all the benefit programs, and offer you an opportunity to ask questions.
